Women Replanting

Nicola Wood

A gentle online space to slow down, gather in community and hold space for each other, as we share our stories

Nicola has been holding space and gathering with women in circle both online and in-person near her home in Wiltshire since her training with Sister Stories during the spring of 2022.

Bringing her strengths as an intuitive, empathetic and creative being, alongside her love of the natural world, each circle weaves in nature’s lessons of cyclical, seasonal living and explores this connection within ourselves.

Her work has always been within the community, with a wide range of people, such as with children in primary schools, to storytelling in London in a variety of places such as mosques, synagogues, and pre-schools.

She has also worked with adults living with severe learning disabilities and more recently co-founded and managed a charity working with people seeking sanctuary (refugees/asylum seekers) and currently works as a grants officer to help fund work that supports unpaid carers.

She has done many courses and workshops alongside circle and space holding such as first-year training in Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine, a Foundation in Shamanic teachings, a three apprenticeship with grief, and bring these learnings and experiences into her space holding/circle facilitation.

Training

Sister Stories (CPD Certified Circle Facilitation); 1st year training in Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine. I bring an intuitive, caring empathy and creative soulfulness to the spaces I hold. I'm continuously learning about myself and my connection to the living world. I'm a mother to three, and a mixed raced activist who co-founded and managed a local charity in 2016, working with people in the UK asylum system. I now work for a charity which supports unpaid carers.

Circle Structure

All of you is welcome here

Our circles follow a structure of beautiful simplicity…

🍃 We begin with an introduction from Nicola, our circle and space holder.

🍃 She will guide us through a short grounding meditation to bring us into the space together which will include a little on what to expect.

🍃 Everyone is given an invitation to share their voice with the circle through a simple question guided by us.

🍃Next we are guided into a meditation, to help us feel into what we wish to give voice to on that day.

🍃The open sharing will then begin.

🍃 There will be no pressure to share or speak, we welcome silence too.

🍃 After final reflections we will close the circle together.
