Space to Pause

Amidst the noise, choose a space purpose-made for pausing - to listen, reflect, explore, and express…

In a space where we don’t fear feeling and are invited to remember our whole selves, we often recognise what needs to change. We find we already know how. The connections between women in circles can be so powerful because we share a commitment both to creating this space for ourselves and to witnessing each other’s discoveries without judgement or agenda. It is a wonderful way to tap back into our vitality and our wisdom.

I believe that transformation is interwoven across scales - from the personal, through the interpersonal, to the global.  I know that the depth of listening and compassion with which we tend to ourselves is reflected in the worlds we create around us. It shows up in our capacity to hold space for others, shaping our relationships, and in the quality of decisions we make with all their ripple effects.

I know that emotions are embodied. We hold on to so much that once protected us, but may now be limiting us. To move more freely what we often need is not to ‘be fixed’ but rather a space where we feel that we are held and heard with deep care.

Global Women’s Circle

6 women come together for 60 minutes for 6 weeks

Amidst the noise, they choose a space purpose-made for pausing - to listen, reflect, explore, and express.

You are warmly invited to turn up each week just as you find yourself on the day, in the moment.

There are no expectations. There is no performance. This feels unusual at first. It is deeply revitalising.

Each week opens with a short meditation and uses a theme to guide reflection and discussion. Together we try out techniques like journalling, visualisation or word association to uncover new perspectives. We listen to each other and share our thoughts as and only when we feel like it.

This circle is for women who need space to pause in their lives to ‘hear themselves think’, to digest, to question, and to be accompanied in exploring whatever might come to light.

Conversation flows and we find ease with silence. There are sometimes tears, there is always laughter. Surprising connections are made between people, ideas or our own memories, and we experience compassion in its true abundance. I love holding women’s circles because each is as unique as the women who co-create it with me. I learn so much from our collective wisdom, it energises me for the rest of the week.

Anyone who identifies as a woman or gender fluid is most welcome. I identify the women who’ve joined my circles as brave, curious souls.

Experience

Originally trained with Sierra Melcher in Colombia in 2019, who went on to found Red Thread Publishing, empowering women to tell their stories. More recently, my journey has continued with the wonderful Mitlé Southey’s Circle School. I’ve also had the privilege of learning from many international and intergenerational collaborators over the last 10 years, with whom I’ve held listening and co-creation spaces in our work to catalyse system transformation including at the United Nations, Salzburg Global Seminar and as co-creator of the now global Big Education Conversation.
